The RINOs here in Indy never wanted to pass Constitutional Carry last year. Now they are determined to get back at gun owners by expanding Indiana’s ‘Red Flag Gun Seizure’ law.
No, this isn’t a drill.
Senator Sandlin has already filed the bill (SB-295), and leadership has already referred it to the Criminal Law Committee!
Remember, when Joe Biden signed S. 2938 into law last year, it gave him $750,000,000 to use in bribing state legislatures that pass (or expand) ‘Red Flag Gun Seizures.’
That means that if our legislature passes SB-295, they could receive a jaw-dropping TWENTY-FIVE TO FIFTY MILLION DOLLARS from Joe Biden and the Department of InJustice!

‘Red Flag Gun Seizures’ allow a liberal judge to order the confiscation of your firearms based on unsubstantiated complaints that are made against you in secret court proceeds — before you’ve even been convicted of a crime.
Now as gun owners in Indiana know, we already have a version of ‘Red Flag’ laws on the books in our state.
In fact, sadly, the push for ‘Red Flag Gun Seizures’ got its start here in the Hoosier State when then-Governor Mitch Daniels made Indiana the first ‘red’ state to enact ‘Red Flag’ laws.
And in 2019 (before the Indiana Firearms Coalition was founded,) the RINOs in Indianapolis did it again, expanding our ‘Red Flag’ laws even further instead of repealing them completely.
Despite that, backstabbing RINOs in Indianapolis have been trying to expand these laws even further. And with Biden offering ‘free’ money, they hope to pass SB-295 this year!

Fifteen Republican RINOs in the United States Senate voted for this legislation last summer, including our own Todd Young. So as far as the moderates in Indy are concerned, they can, too!
I hope you understand how backwards this is.
In dozens of other ‘red’ states, Republican lawmakers are fighting with everything they’ve got to EXPAND the Second Amendment and protect their citizens from Joe Biden’s tyranny.
Three more states have recently passed Stand-Your-Ground law, including neighboring Ohio who did it despite the tepid objections of moderate Governor Mike DeWine, as pro-gun champions in the legislature fought alongside gun owners to get this done.
Four State Attorneys General have filed hard hitting lawsuits against Joe Biden’s unconstitutional executive orders, taking the fight for freedom to the Federal Court and even the Supreme Court.
And Missouri passed the nation’s first Second Amendment Preservation Act law with teeth last year, requiring Missouri cops to enforce Missouri law when it comes to firearms and ammunition, specifying that police departments that violate SAPA law and enforce federal gun control laws are open to civil lawsuits.
Here in Indiana, while the legislature and Governor Holcomb finally passed our Constitutional Carry legislation last year, they did it kicking and screaming, and now they are actively working to expand our ‘Red Flag Gun Seizure’ laws!

SB-295 would massively expand our ‘Red Flag’ laws by:
- Expanding the list of people who can file a ‘Red Flag’ complaint against you. This could include almost anyone from a liberal aunt you haven’t seen in twenty years to a bitter ex-spouse who wants to ruin your life.
If this happens, countless gun owners are going to be hit with these unconstitutional seizure orders, as bitter people will use the courts to settle personal scores. - Creating a new list of ‘evidence’ that judges can use when deciding whether to order the seizure of your firearms.
This list of ‘evidence’ could include ‘the recent purchase of firearms or ammunition’ as proof that you’re dangerous!
In other words, simply exercising your 2nd Amendment rights will be ammo the courts can use against you! - Giving more time for liberal prosecutors and judges to consider the ‘Red Flag’ charges that have been filed against you, AFTER they seize your guns.
Right now, if your guns are seized without a warrant, the courts have 14 days to issue a warrant or return your guns. This bill would raise that to 60 days!
The fact that we even have to worry about any of this is shameful in a state with broad Republican majorities in both chambers. In other ‘red’ states, Republicans are pushing legislation that makes ‘Red Flag’ laws illegal!
But, led by Governor Holcomb, Indiana ‘Republicans’ continue to work to EXPAND our ‘Red Flag’ laws — even though they are issued before you’ve been charged or convicted of ANYTHING!
That’s why I hope you’ll immediately sign the petition that we have prepared for you, so your State Senator and State Representative know that you are 100% opposed to SB-295.

You see, the previous ‘Red Flag’ bills that passed here in Indiana did so because there was no organized opposition against them. None of the national gun rights organizations (that love to raise money off of Hoosiers) lifted a finger to stop these bills.
But the Indiana Firearms Coalition is ensuring that this never happens again, as we mobilize tens of thousands of gun owners to FIGHT BACK against SB-295 using a combination of:
>>> Hard-hitting digital and social media ads in targeted districts, making it clear to politicians who are on the fence on ‘Red Flags’ that backing this legislation comes with severe consequences at election time.
>>> Utilizing our massive email and direct mail programs to mobilize gun owners with up-to-the minute information from the Capitol and allowing them to send pre-written emails directly to their legislators.
>>> Preparing radio and TV ad campaigns that we can roll out the moment that committee action and floor votes are announced. These ads are expensive, but nothing activates large numbers of gun owners quicker than a combined radio and TV advertising blitz.
Every part of our program is designed for just one purpose: to inundate the legislature with a tidal wave of calls and emails from gun owners in their districts, reminding them that if they vote for ‘Red Flag Gun Seizures,’ gun owners will meet them in the elections!

The politicians in Indianapolis have gotten used to no organized pushback from gun owners. If this continues, we’ll soon see Republicans pushing universal background checks, mandatory waiting periods, and a whole lot more! It’s time to stand up!
Our forefathers fought to secure the freedoms that we enjoy today.
But those freedoms are under attack in ways that we have never seen. Now our children and grandchildren are counting on you and me to hold the line for their freedoms.
