For decades now, the Lautenberg Amendment has been held up by the Left as justification for disarming gun owners for non-felony crimes.
With Lautenberg in place (which bans people with domestic violence convictions or domestic violence protective orders from possessing firearms,) the Left wants to add other misdemeanors to the list of crimes that result in a lifetime gun ban.
No politician wants to talk about Lautenberg and whether or not it’s constitutional, afraid of being labeled a ‘wife beater.’
Few gun rights organizations are willing to tread here, either.
But here at IGO, we’ve always opposed the idea of blurring the lines between felonies and misdemeanors when it comes to the 2nd Amendment — because we know that standard will be abused.
Thankfully, in the wake of last year’s Bruen decision, Circuit Courts are challenging the constitutionality of Lautenberg!
Even better, the Supreme Court has just announced that they’ll be taking up this case in the future! Whatever the outcome, this case will have massive ramifications for the Second Amendment!

Whatever the outcome of this case, the Left will never tire of trying to disarm gun owners through non-felony crimes…it’s back door gun confiscation and they are being obvious about it!

The Second Amendment is the primary thing keeping our government in check, just like our Founding Fathers intended. Every single chink in its armor is dangerous.
