Whereas: Indiana’s SAPA law would protect Hoosiers the next time a Democratic President wants to force our cops to enforce federal gun control laws or Executive Orders; and
Whereas: Indiana’s SAPA law would protect front line cops in our state who do not want to be in the position of having to choose between losing their job or enforcing federal gun control; and
Whereas: Indiana’s SAPA law would ensure that ‘blue’ cities do not try to break the law by including civil penalties of $50,000 against any agency who knowingly violates SAPA; and
Whereas: Indiana’s SAPA law anticipates an attempted Joint Federal Task Force and precludes our cops from being a part of it if the purpose is to enforce federal gun control laws.
Therefore: As a voter in your district, I am writing to urge you to co-sponsor, vote for, and publicly support Rep. Lorissa Sweet’s Second Amendment Preservation Act (HB-1657) this session!
